We want to create a new form of media and entertainment—a social media platform where everyone can not only play games but also make their own games in seconds. A place where a young kid’s game ideas can come to life from a set of paintings, and a storyteller can bring their ideas to life in ways they never could before.

This vision comes with a basket of product problems and decisions that need to be made to solve them. We are laser-focused on the most important problem: enabling people to create and distribute games.

Games are software with story and design, constantly improving every day. The hardware is still catching up. Gaming is evolving at a breakneck speed, and we cannot build an amazing experience at the absolute cutting edge of everything, especially when we are starting from scratch.

In our case, this means that today, through AI, we cannot create graphics-heavy AAA games. But there are still many choices we can make. We decided to focus on the game style that has been established for a long time and is still heavily used: 2D games with PNG assets. With good design, immersive storytelling, and decent graphics, users can experience the satisfaction of creating games. We’re adopting the approach of Innovating with Withered Technology. Nintendo did it first with Game Boy; we’re doing it now with Chaotix.
